Care & Washing Instructions

To ensure your Globaltex Fine Linens blankets retain their luxurious softness and vibrant appearance, we recommend washing similar colored blankets in warm water (up to 60°C / 140°F) on a gentle cycle. This will preserve the fabric’s integrity while keeping it soft and plush for a long time. Always wash blankets with similar colors to avoid any unwanted fading or color transfer.

For white blankets, you may use chlorine-free bleach to maintain their bright whiteness. However, we advise against using harsh bleach that can weaken the fibers and diminish the blanket’s luxurious feel. For colored blankets, opt for a liquid detergent that is free from bleach or optical brighteners. These gentle detergents will help preserve the color vibrancy without compromising the softness of the fabric.

Drying Guidelines

For the best results and to preserve the premium feel of your blankets, machine dry on a medium heat setting (55-60°C / 130-140°F). This will keep your blankets feeling soft and fluffy while avoiding any unnecessary shrinkage. Remove blankets promptly from the dryer to prevent wrinkles and ensure they maintain their full, plush texture.

To enhance the fluffiness of your blankets, you can shake them gently before and after drying. This helps redistribute the filling and keeps the blanket feeling luxuriously soft. If you prefer, you may even air-dry your blankets in a well-ventilated area, but be mindful to avoid direct sunlight to prevent any fading.

Pressing & Finishing

While ironing is typically unnecessary for blankets, if a crisper finish is desired, we recommend using an iron on a low heat setting. Apply light pressure and avoid high temperatures to prevent any damage to the fabric or filling. Steam is a great alternative to remove wrinkles and restore the blanket’s smooth, soft texture without compromising its luxurious feel.

Avoid Overloading the Washer: When washing blankets, avoid overloading the washing machine. This ensures that each blanket receives a thorough wash and maintains its softness and integrity. Overloading can also cause the fabric to wrinkle and reduce the effectiveness of the wash cycle.
