Our custom collection—including pool cushions, specialized covers, and daybed linens—is designed with premium, high-performance fabrics to withstand high-volume hospitality environments and outdoor elements. Proper care protects their water resistance, vibrant colors, and structural integrity.
Water-Resistant Daybed Covers
These products feature specialized outdoor fabrics with water-resistant (hydrophobic) and UV-protective coatings. Improper washing can strip away these protective layers.
Routine Maintenance: Regularly brush off loose dirt, sand, or pollen with a soft-bristle brush or vacuum. For minor spills, spot-clean immediately using a damp cloth and a mild, pH-neutral soap (avoid harsh detergents).
Machine Washing (If covers are removable): Turn the covers inside out. Wash in cold or lukewarm water (maximum 30°C / 85°F) on a gentle cycle. Never use chlorine bleach or harsh stain removers.
Drying: Do not tumble dry. Air-dry the covers by hanging or laying them flat in a shaded area. To prevent mold and mildew, ensure the covers are 100% dry before reinserting the cushion foam.
Ironing: Generally wrinkle-free. If necessary, iron on the lowest heat setting with a protective pressing cloth in between. High heat can melt the water-resistant backing.
Terry Daybeds
Crafted from 100% premium cotton terry, these covers require care similar to room towels, but they face extra exposure to chlorine, saltwater, and sunscreen oils.
Washing: Wash promptly after outdoor use to prevent chlorine and sun lotion from degrading the cotton fibers. Wash white covers at 60°C (140°F) and colored covers at 40°C (104°F).
Fabric Softeners: Avoid or strictly limit fabric softeners. Softeners coat the cotton fibers with a chemical layer that severely reduces the cover's absorbency.
Drying: Tumble dry on low-to-medium heat. Adding wool dryer balls will help fluff the terry loops and maintain maximum softness.
Laundry Bin Covers
Because these covers hold damp linens and uniforms, they are highly susceptible to bacteria, mildew, and odor buildup.
Washing: To ensure proper hygiene, wash frequently at 40°C to 60°C (104°F to 140°F) using a heavy-duty laundry detergent.
Drying: Tumble dry on medium heat. Crucial: Ensure the cover is completely bone-dry before placing it back onto the laundry bin frame. Any trapped moisture will trigger mold growth inside the bin.
Headrests
Headrests come into direct contact with hair products, skin oils, and cosmetics, making them prone to discoloration.
Pre-treatment: For oil or makeup stains, pre-treat the affected areas with a liquid enzyme detergent or a mild dish soap before putting them in the wash.
Washing & Drying: Wash at 40°C (104°F) with like colors. Tumble dry on low heat or air-dry thoroughly.
General Golden Rules for Custom Hospitality Linens:
The Chlorine Rinse: For all terry lounge covers, running a quick rinse cycle with fresh water before the main wash will help neutralize chlorine and extend the fabric's lifespan by up to 50%.
Off-Season Storage: Never store custom or outdoor products while they are damp. Store them in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space. Avoid plastic bins or vacuum bags; instead, use breathable cotton storage bags to prevent musty odors.
