Commercial & Hospitality Care Guidelines
For our hotel and commercial partners, industrial laundering requires specific protocols to maintain the longevity, absorbency, and plushness of Globaltex Fine Linens. Please adhere to the following commercial wash guidelines:
01 Separation and Sorting
Separate Terry from Flat Goods: Towels and sheets must never be washed or dried together. Towels produce lint that can pill the sheets, and their different drying times may result in over-dried, damaged flat goods.
Sort by Soil Level: Wash heavily soiled items such as spa towels and kitchen rags separately from lightly soiled room linens to prevent cross-contamination.
02 Chemicals and Whitening
White Linens: Use only hospitality-grade whitening or oxidizing agents approved by your professional laundry chemical supplier and always follow the product label, dosage, dilution, and safety instructions. Avoid excessive or improper use of chlorine bleach, as it may weaken cotton fibers, reduce absorbency, and shorten linen lifespan.
Colored Linens: For colored pool, spa, and room linens, avoid chlorine bleach and harsh oxidizing chemicals. Use only color-safe detergents and laundering products approved for colored cotton textiles. Always test on a small area first and follow professional laundry chemical supplier recommendations to prevent shade variation or color loss.
Ozone Laundering: Our linens are compatible with modern cold-water ozone wash systems.
03 Stain Reclamation
Do not allow common hospitality stains such as makeup, self-tanner, or wine to go through a high-heat drying cycle before treating, as this can bake the stain permanently into the cotton.
Pre-treat stains and process them through a dedicated reclamation wash cycle before returning linens to standard commercial laundry processing.
04 Commercial Drying & Cool-Down
Avoid Over-Drying: Over-drying is the leading cause of premature towel wear. Dry towels to approximately 95%–97% dry. The remaining ambient moisture helps prevent the cotton from baking and the hems from fraying.
Mandatory Cool-Down: Commercial dryers must utilize a 3-to-5-minute cool-down cycle at the end of the drying process. Pulling piping hot sheets directly from the dryer can cause thermal shock, bake in wrinkles, and weaken the fabric's tensile strength.
05 Inventory Rotation — The PAR System
Let the Cotton Rest: We recommend maintaining at least a 3-PAR or 4-PAR inventory level. Allowing linens to rest on the shelf for 24 hours before returning them to a guest room allows the cotton fibers to rehydrate from the ambient air.
This process can significantly extend the lifespan, softness, and plushness of hospitality linens under repeated commercial laundering.
